Welcome GGS is a Total Female, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Chartered in the state of Washington. As an emerging small business concern, we qualify for several federal contracting incentive programs. Through contracting with GGS, federal agencies and contractors can take full advantage of these benefits. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB): Executive Order 13360: provides that the President must establish a goal of not less than 3 percent for participation by service-disabled veteran businesses in Federal contracting, and section 36 of that Act (15 U.S.C. 657f), which gives agency contracting officers the authority to reserve certain procurements for service-disabled veteran businesses. Veterans Benefit Act of 2003 (section 15(g) of the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 644(g)), Section 308 States: ‘‘(a) SOLE SOURCE CONTRACTS.—In accordance with this section, a contracting officer may award a sole source contract to any small business concern owned and controlled by service-disabled veterans if (1) such concern is determined to be a responsible contractor with respect to performance of such contract opportunit and the contracting officer does not have a reasonable expectation that 2 or more small business concerns owned and controlled by service-disabled veterans will submit offers for the contracting opportunity; (2) the anticipated award price of the contract (including options) will not exceed: (A) $5,000,000, in the case of a contract opportunity assigned a standard code or (B) $3,000,000, in the case of any other contract opportunity; and (3) in the estimation of the contracting officer, the contract award can be made at a fair and reasonable price. H.R. 4253, the "Military Reservist and Veteran Small Business Reauthorization and Opportunity Act of 2008," which requires an interagency task force to coordinate efforts to improve opportunities for small businesses owned by veterans; permanently reauthorizes the SBA Advisory Committee on Veterans Business Affairs; and expands small business development and loan programs for veterans and reservists.
